More Than Presets
Over the years, the Favorite Covers series has evolved beyond simply recreating sounds using factory waveforms.
Many of the newer performances make use of custom samples taken directly from instruments in my own collection, including the Roland Jupiter-8, Oberheim OB-X8, Prophet-5, Minimoog Model D, DX7 and Emulator II.
These sounds are combined with Yamaha’s synthesis engines, Super Knob, Motion Control, effects and scene programming to recreate keyboard parts that would be difficult to achieve using presets alone.

Montage M and MODX M owners receive an additional Y2L library containing optimized versions of selected performances that take advantage of features unique to those instruments.
